What is this engagement about?
Help set standards for animal care. Animals are important to Yukoners. The Government of Yukon supports animal owners to be responsible stewards of domestic animals - both livestock and companion animals.
How will my input make a difference?
Your input will help us shape the territory’s laws for the care of domestic animals.
We want to talk about any issues related to the protection and control of domestic animals in Yukon. We have already heard concerns from individuals, organizations, First Nations and Yukon communities. Although we already know about some of the issues we need to address, we want to give everyone a chance to share concerns, goals and values that should guide the legislative framework.
After gathering your feedback, we plan to return to the public and other stakeholders to discuss potential solutions to their concerns in more detail.
Where can I find results?
The survey closes on December 16th. Once available, we will post the results of the engagement here.
