Regulating Resource Roads in Yukon
How do I participate?
What is this engagement about?
The Government of Yukon is regulating the construction, use, closure and decommissioning of resource roads. Resource roads are typically constructed as temporary roads that primarily provides managed access for industry users to mineral, coal, oil and gas, and aggregate resources, but may include temporary non-public roads that lead to other natural resources.
We are inviting everyone to review our proposal and let us know what you think. We will be talking to the resource industry, other governments, mandated boards and committees, non-government organizations, and individual members of the public.
How will my input make a difference?
Your input will let us know whether we are going in the right direction and will help us determine what will go into the new Resource Road Regulation.
Where can I find related information?
Where can I find results?
We will post the results on this page once we have them. The next phase will be the drafting and approval of the regulation, which we expect to be completed in 2019.
